At last week's NWA-TNA show, Raven insisted on using real Ether in his angle with James Mitchell. At first this was found humorous however this soon changed once Dutch Mantel poured it on a rag and stunk up the locker room. This came into play later on when Sandman messed up and ended his match with Raven several minutes early. This time, however, Raven didn't blow up about it backstage. Of course this lead to jokes about how ether must have calmed his nerves.

As it is now common knowledge, Kevin Nash's stint with the WWE has come to an end. Over the last several months, McMahon lost virtually all faith in Nash, especially after his feud with HHH and the reincarnation of the nWo both failed. With regard to his title match against HHH, Nash stated "I met with Vince and we talked about the possibility of my staying with the company in a creative role. This would have meant working 5 days per week and spending too much time away from my home and family so I decided not to stay with the company. There are so many options in wrestling with other companies and I am looking into more film and television appearances."
